Publication by LAPISLAZUL in the 2025 ENCACT Book of Proceedings, concerning its cultural mediation project at the National Museum of Chad.
After having presented our findings at the 33rd ENCATC Congress in Barcelona, we reflect on the final results of our cultural mediation project with the Musée National du Chad.
We were able to demonstrate how museum mediation can help to foster identity, inclusion, and youth engagement, especially in Chadian context marked by political and economic instability as well as high illiteracy rates of the population.
In the paper we also discuss innovative co-creation and digital activities designed to reconnect the Chadian community with its rich cultural heritage while also outlining a roadmap for sustainable future collaborations of the museum with African as well as European cultural institutions.
